General Description: A bunchy grass tuft which is native to Southern India where it is grown as a commercial crop. It is a grass which is cropped regularly to produce a strong,lemon smelling oil. Cochin is probably the best know Lemongrass and production is steady and reliable. It is a major source of citral, which has a powerful odour. It tends to be used for soap fragrances and also aromatherapy
