| Beeswax is a very ancient cosmetic material derived from the honeycomb of the bee (apis mellifera) and for each 8 parts of honey produced, only one part of wax is produced. Crude beeswax is dark amber in colour and contains all kinds of impurities. . The yellow is in fact straw coloured and has a smell reminiscent of a chicken coop.
