General Description: An oleo gum-resin long known in the ancient world and aptly written about by Watt and Sellar. Its history and extensive use goes back over 3,500 years. It occurs as small, dark brown lumps that are collected from the bark and sent to Europe where it is used in religious incense or for distillation. The oil is harmful so must be used with care
