General Description | |||
The plant belongs to the same family as Valerian and has many similarities. It is fairly easy to cultivate and has a long history of use in India and Persia (Iran). The oil is derived from the comminuted root (root and rhizome) and much is distilled in India though some is sent to Europe and the USA. The oil is extremely heady and one should smell it with caution as it can affect some people | |||
